You were chased off a cliff? [by wild boars, no less! wei wuxian's eyebrows take a jump again.] Haha, yeah, that sounds awful. Falling from a cliff can't be fun.

[he wouldn't go -that- far, not far enough to actually hurt someone. but...the smile that crosses his lips pretty much answers the question before he can.]

The twins loosed the boars from their boar pit. Toothless grabbed me, it was fine, but- not my favorite holiday. [None of that probably made any sense whatsoever.] I only fell for a little bit, really. I'm used to it. I uh, I ride a dragon, so.

[He's fallen off a lot of things and has never been dramatic about it.]

I'm- I'm sure Loki would appreciate that. [He sounds a little wary.] What did you have in mind?

[he was hanging in there until everything after "boar pit". he still had questions though.]

Wait, wait, hang on. [did he hear that correctly, he still has his small human ears after all.] Where did you find a dragon and how did you convince it to let you ride it?

I sort of shot him down. It was a whole... thing. [He laughs awkwardly.] We're buds now, it's fine! Great. Toothless loves flying together.

I can bring him by if you want me to bring that fertilizer. [Zewu-jun had seemed pretty excited to see a dragon when they met.]

...That must be a very forgiving dragon.

Of course I want to see him! I'll put the bunnies in their room. Oh, and about that fertilizer...say if you got some on of it on you. Accidentally.

Would it do any harm?

He got me back eventually! [Sort of. Couldn't save all of Hiccup and now they're a matching set.]

Oh, it's fine, he won't hurt your bunnies. He's fine with my partner's niffler and I think Harry is about the same size as they are.

[That sounds like something to be wary of, though. He squints at the mention of the fertilizer.] I uh, I mean I don't think so? It's not toxic as far as I know.

So you sort of Loki Day'd each other?

[what even is a niffler, he has so many questions but mostly is it something he can touch.

wei wuxian smiles, thinking about this for a moment before nodding.]

That's good. It's very good. Bring as much as you can! And don't forget the dragon!

I guess you can say that we Loki'd each other. [If Loki Day involved losing tail fins and limbs.]

Bichen and Suibian will probably be out flying around it!

[And sure enough, after about thirty to forty-five minutes, a sleek black dragon comes to a skilled landing in front of cottage, a bag slung over the back of the saddle that must be the fertilizer, and Hiccup comfortably in front of it, keeping it from sliding off rather than actually holding on to any straps or reins. Toothless mrrs in approval, stamping his feet a couple of times, pleased - they're getting better at tight landings, in this close-together city.]

Yeah, bud, you're really getting the hang of this city-dragon thing.

[suibian and bichen decide to scamper back inside after all at the arrival, nearly bowling over one wei wuxian in the process.]

Ey, ey! He won't eat you!

[he calls over them before sighing. but then he runs outside, all wide eyes and bright laughter at the sight of the dragon.]

He's different than I imagined!

[Toothless croons curiously at the fleeing winged rabbits, taking a few steps as if to follow, but Hiccup lays a hand on his side and pats him with a laugh.] I don't think they're used to something your size, bud.

[He hauls up the bag of fertilizer and goes to join Wei Wuxian.] He's definitely one of a kind. Meet Toothless. He's a Night Fury.

Our dragons are a lot longer. And skinnier. Not that I've actually ever seen one outside of vases and screens!

[he smiles up at toothless, holding his hand out.]

What does he eat, should I fix him something? He must be hungry after that flight!

Yeah, Zewu-jun said they were pretty rare where you guys come from. It's- it's a shame, dragons are incredible. We have more than just him on my island, hundreds of them, and all different breeds. I have my Terrible Terror here too, but he's with Percy at the forge right now. [Sharpshot took to Percy so hard that Hiccup basically shares custody now.

He laughs as Toothless perks up at the thought of food, leaning in to sniff at Wei Wuxian's hand, as if he can find said food there.] Fish, but he's already eaten this morning. And I know Newt slipped you extra trout, so don't give me that face, mister.

[Toothless snorts, something like a huff or a pout, and smacks at Hiccup's back with his tail, sending him stumbling with the bag of fertilizer.]

He understands you and everything!

[wei wuxian laughs brightly at the exchange. as impressive as a terrible terror sounds, he really likes this one's energy.]

I don't think I have any fish in the house, but I'm an excellent fisherman! Let's find a place where we can do that soon, I'll catch a big breakfast for you!

Way too much, sometimes. [Toothless just looks pleased and smug, like an overgrown cat who has outsmarted his owner. Hiccup can't quite hold back a laugh.]

Sure, we can go down to the harbor some time. But hey, here, I brought you that fertilizer.

The fertilize! Thank-

[wei wuxian starts to bend for it, but then pulls back with his arm across his nose.

but he doesn't want to seem ungrateful after all of hiccup's help.]

Ah, sorry. I just remembered someone unpleasant. He smelled this way too.

[it's fine to insult a dead man if that dead man's wen chao.]

Maybe we should just leave it out here for now.

[He can't hold back a laugh, hefting the bag down to the ground and leaving it there.] Sure, it's no problem. If you think this is bad, though, be glad you've never smelled Berk in the spring. [Hiccup is entirely unbothered by it; that's what comes when you grow up on an island where certain vikings don't want to bathe and you live side by side with livestock and dragons.]
