[The camera angle shifts a little as he leans over to grab paper and charcoal, eventually propping the camera up on the worktable to free his hands up.] Sounds about standard. [He laughs a little, not mocking, just amused.] Is that one yours? It's gorgeous make. Were you wanting something like a match, aesthetics-wise, or a sword that complements it? Any engravings? Enchantments? If you wanted it lighter, too, I make a type of metal through alchemy - it's lighter and stronger, stays sharp longer. I'd have to charge for some materials, though; steel I can do for nothing.

( he was expecting an ordinary sword, but if enchantments are a possibility, lan wangji is definitely interested to know what's offered. )

[He hums in acknowledgement at the answers, the charcoal scritching against paper as he jots down notes and little preliminary sketches. Tap, tap, tap the pencil against the desk in thought.] Hmm. I don't have much experience with Puca... What might they need in combat? Heat to clear Cwyld, a barrier if close-combat gets too dicey? Really, you name it and I can work it out. I've been adding to my enchantment library so it's good experience.

[A pause. Wei- He brightens in recognition.] Wei Wuxian? Are you the Bonded he talks about all the time? Yeah, yeah, I know how tall he is- Really, though, payment isn't necessary, I- I don't mind doing things for friends.

( honestly, wei wuxian is a pretty skilled fighter as is. enchantments aren’t necessary, but it’s an added bonus that’ll probably help lan wangji sleep at night when his bonded goes on a reckless whim. like. a drunken brawl. or an impromptu escapade into the woods. so... ) A barrier, then. ( there’s always the possibility to further imbue the blade later, if need be.

as for wei wuxian… lan wangji’s own gaze radiates with subtle warmth, a sliver of fond exasperation as he fights off the smile that threatens to stretch his mouth. he glances down, humbly so, a silent acknowledgement. ) Lan Zhan. ( it’s most likely the name his bonded used, and look at him all bashful and enamored, struggling to school his expression before he looks back up. ) Your help is greatly appreciated. ( still going to pay you, though! )

I can do that. A quick-deploy barrier enchantment isn't a bad idea anyway, it'll make for a fast shield without having to carry one. [Never mind that cultivators don't carry shields. Vikings do so he isn't exactly aware it's not that common.] You're a Witch, right? You'll have to recharge it sometimes, but that's easy.

[He laughs.] Right, right. It's good to finally meet you. You guys seem like a good pair.

I should have this done in... give me about five days, I think? I can set my other projects aside for a little bit. Swords are easy anyway.
